Stirling Moss -- Lotus Mk.19 "Monte Carlo"
Moss qualified 2nd and
easily led the race with his Lotus for
27 laps; then pitted with rear brake trouble. He returned to the
race from 7 laps down and finished
16th, 6 laps down.
The next weekend Moss won the S.F.
Examiner's mcc304.html Pacific
Grand Prix at Laguna Seca.
